Citizens Academy: Admissions Information

Thank you for your interest in county government. Participants will learn about the challenges to county government, budgetary limitations, day-to-day operations and mandates. The County Citizens Academy is taught by both elected and appointed Department Heads and is held at facilities located throughout the County. Citizens will experience local decision making process with others in the community and with policy makers. Presenters include the District Attorney, Sheriff, County Treasurer, Controller, Assessor, Coroner, Health Director, Human Services Director, and Environmental Services Director. |

Applications will be reviewed and participants selected to represent the diverse communities found in the County.
Those not selected will be considered for future academies. |

Applications can be completed online or pick-up an application at the County Manager's Office at 400 County Center, Redwood City, CA 94063. |

Please note: The Fall 2007 session has been canceled. The next session will be held in Spring 2008. Applications submitted for Fall 2007 will be considered for the Spring 2008 session. |
