Incident Date and Time: Tuesday, January 8, 2008
Location: Alameda De Las Pulgas @ Hull Avenue, Unincorporated RWC
Type of Crime/Incident: Arrest of a Suspect in the November 5, 2007 Assault of a Woodside High School Teacher
Suspect: TIMMONS, Lamarr Edward, DOB: 10-01-1988; San Mateo
Charges: Assault with a Deadly weapon; Battery with serious injuries; Battery on a school official with injury. (Booking photo withheld pending further investigation)

Summary: On Monday November 5, 2007, at approximately 3:20 pm, a Woodside High School teacher was walking home from school. As he approached the area of Alameda De Las Pulgas and Hull Avenue he came upon a group of teenagers arguing. The teacher approached the group and attempted to calm down the situation but was instead punched in the mouth by the suspect. The teacher lost two teeth and later required oral surgery to repair the injury.

Today, Tuesday January 8, 2008, Sheriff's Detectives concluded a two month investigation with the arrest of TIMMONS who was already in custody at the Maguire Correctional Facility on unrelated charges. TIMMONS was re-booked for a variety of felony assault charges. The arrest and investigation came to a successful conclusion after numerous interviews with witnesses and the high degree of cooperation from the Woodside High School community. The identity of the teacher is not being disclosed for his safety and wellbeing.
