This area is approximately 125' with a 0% slope and an asphalt, dirt surface. Surrounding trees and shrubs provide some shade, but it is mostly sunny. Expect warm to hot weather in the summer; light breeze in the afternoons. A nearby volleyball court and a softball diamond, near the Madrone & Fir areas, are available on a first come-first serve basis. The softball field can be reserved for one hour at the gate house on the day of the picnic. The Oak group picnic area is divided into 3 areas, 2 are under the shade shelter.
