December 2 Meeting Cancelled requires     Agenda Archives Emerald Lake Hills Zoning & Design Review Assessment   Design Review Committee The Design Review process was established by County ordinance to ensure that new development in certain communities is compatible with the physical setting of the development site and the existing character of the community. The communities designated for Design Review are Emerald Lake Hills, Palomar Park, Devonshire and North Fair Oaks. The County has adopted specific design standards for each community. These standards are contained in the Design Review (DR) Zoning Ordinance (Chapter 28.1) (.87mb)). Copies of the DR Ordinance are available at the Planning counter at the Planning & Building Department office. Projects in Emerald Lake Hills are evaluated for compliance with Design Review regulations by the Design Review Officer, a member of San Mateo County Planning and Building Department staff. Public hearings on Design Review in Emerald Lake Hills are held on the first Tuesday of each month. Meetings are held in Room 201 of the County Office building, 455 County Center, Redwood City.
